CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The application for 2022 Changan Automobile Chongqing Marathon has been available since October 28, and the marathon will kick off at 8:00 on November 27 at Nanbin Road in Chongqing.

There are three main events for 2022 Chongqing Marathon: full marathon (42.195km), mini marathon (5km) and parent-child marathon (4.2km), with 30,000 participants. The application for the sporting events will begin from 10:00 on October 28, and close on the November 7 for the full marathon. The list of participants will be published on November 10. Places for mini marathon and parent-child marathon are limited and will be allocated to those who apply first. Those who want to join the event can visit the official website or follow the official WeChat account of Chongqing Marathon or CMSports for application.

The marathon is accessible in the area where regular epidemic prevention and control measures are carried out, and only those who have not been low, medium, or high-risk areas for the past 7 days before the race (10 days for those returning from abroad) can participate inn the match. All participants need to provide a 48-hour valid negative nucleic acid test result before they collect the materials and join the event, and the participants coming or returning to Chongqing from other areas should hold a 48-hour valid negative nucleic acid test result before they arrive in Chongqing. The Yukang codes and itinerary codes of participants will be verified on the day of collection and the event, and the designated area will be accessible only for those who scan the specific location code and hold a green Yukang code.

Ranking awards, prizes for Chongqing citizen group, and prizes for record breaking will be set up for the full marathon event. The first prize for the men’s group and RMB 150,000 will be awarded to the champion who finishes the full marathon within 2 hours and 13 minutes (excluding 02:13:00), while the first prize for the women’s group and RMB 150,000 will be awarded to the winner who finishes the race within 2 hours and 30 minutes (excluding 02:30:00); the men participants who finish the match for more than 2 hours and 13 minutes (including 02:13:00) and woman participants for more than 2 hours and 30 minutes (including 02:30:00) will be awarded RMB 75,000; RMB 3000 will be awarded for the champions of both men’s and women’ groups in the Chongqing citizen group; for those record breakers, men participants within 2 hours 9 minutes and 49 seconds (excluding 02:09:49) and women participants within 2 hours 22 minutes and 41 seconds (excluding 02:22:41) will be awarded RMB 100,000; for those record breakers of Chinese nationality, men participants within 2 hours 11 minutes and 41 seconds (excluding 02:11:41) and women participants within 2 hours 22 minutes and 41 seconds (excluding 02:22:41) will be awarded RMB 50,000.

It is learned that the Chongqing marathon is the first full marathon event in western China, the riverside track of which cover 7 bridges over the Yangtze River and many historical and cultural tourist attractions such as Chaotianmen and Yanyu Park, and features lots of gorgeous landscapes.
