CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The fine adjustment of East Loop of Chongqing Railway Hub has begun, which brings us closer to the opening of East Loop. There are a total of 49 new technicians working on the fine adjustment of this line, and most of them are post-00s; the average age is 24, and the youngest is 20 years old, according to the Chongqing division of China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. on October 30.

East Loop, covers from Luohuangnan Railway Station of Chongqing-Guiyang Railway to the northern Moxinpo Station of Xiangyang-Chongqing Railway, with a main line of 158.653 kilometers, a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour, and eight new stations including Luohuangdong Station, Nanpeng Station, Chongqingdong Station, Donggang Station, Longsheng Station, Tongjing Station, Gulu Station, Shuitu Station.

Hu Jinlong, the person in charge of the construction, introduced that the fine adjustment of lines refers to the adjustments of gauge, level, triangle pit, height, track direction and other indicators meticulously made to improve the smoothness of the line. He added, "our find adjustment of gauge should be within ±0.2 mm, and the single TQI (track quality index) of gauge should be within 0.15 mm."

With 10 years’ experience in this field, Hu Jinlong has been engaged in many large-scale construction projects and fine-adjustment work of new lines. During the construction of East Loop of Chongqing Railway Hub, he was busy running about on the site every day so as to ensure safe operations, control the operation quality, and share his working experience with those post-00s technicians. Over the past 3 months, he has worn out 3 pairs of working shoes.

Young as post-00s technicians are, they are very capable. They get up at 5:30, set off at 6:00, and finish the task assignment before 7:00 every day, with a daily fine-adjustment task of more than 3.5 kilometers. They normally spend a whole day working on the line and go back to the station at 21:00. They measured every inch of the rail with their feet in an accurate manner, so as to satisfactorily finish the fine adjustment task of East Loop of Chongqing Railway Hub.
