CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, an international freight train of China-Laos Railway carrying Laos’ beer arrived at the Xiaonanya Railway Logistics Hub in Jiangjin District, Chongqing. Chongqing citizens can now directly purchase Laos’ beer in the Luohuang Port industrial city. According to an import and export trading company in Jiangjin District that imported this batch of beer, there will be another batch of Laos’ beer coming at the end of the year and after the normalization of transportation in the future, in addition to online channels, Laos’ beer will enter commercial supermarkets and other channels in China, so that citizens can buy it in a nearby shop more conveniently.

This batch of Laos’ beer contains a wide variety of beers such as stout, brown ale, weiss, lager, IPA beer, etc. that are produced by the only beer manufacturer in Laos that is owned by the Laotian government and the only beer in Laos named after the country.

Since its opening last December, the trains of China-Laos Railway have narrowed the distance between China and ASEAN, reduced the logistics cost of cross-border transportation, improved logistics efficiency, expanded bilateral markets, effectively driven the integrated development of logistics, industry and trade in countries along the route, and provided strong support for accelerating the completion of the China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor and the cooperation with RCEP countries.

New Land-sea Corridor Operation Co., Ltd. has established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Laos, and built the "Laos-China Import and Export Commodity Distribution Center". In the future, it will continue its all-round cooperation with Laos enterprises in terms of logistics, trade, industry, finance and data with the “inland ports” of Chongqing new land-sea corridor as the carrier, continuously improve the level of regional economic integration, and make full use of the China-Laos Railway and RCEP opportunities to promote the cooperation between LMC and the new land-sea trade corridor that benefits both nations.
