From 0 to 12 o'clock on November 2, '2+2' local cases added in Chongqing

According to Li Pan, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, from 0 to 12 o'clock on November 2, 2 locally confirmed cases (1 in Jiangbei District and 1 in Shapingba District respectively) have been added in Chongqing; 2 asymptomatic local cases have been added (1 in Shapingba District and 1 in Dazu District respectively). The existing infected people in Chongqing are all in the designated medical institutions for centralized treatment and medical observation, and all of them are in a stable situation.

Up to now, no public cases has been added for three consecutive days in the "10·23" epidemic situation in Yongchuan, and the COVID-19 situation has been effectively controlled; ten infected cases (including 8 in Shapingba District, 1 in Jiangbei District, and 1 in Dazu District) have been reported in the "11·01" Shapingba COVID-19 situation, whose social activities covered an wide range, involving multiple districts in the downtown area.

After the outbreak, various works on the epidemic situation are being carried out in an orderly manner.

A round of regional nucleic acid testing will be carried out in the main urban districts of Chongqing on November 3 and 5 respectively

Li Pan said that at present, the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention had completed the gene sequencing for the first infected person of the "11·01" Shapingba epidemic, and the results showed that the virus he infected was Omicron variant (BA.5.2 evolutionary branch). In view of the wide range of activities and complex trajectory of the people infected in the "11 · 01" Shapingba COVID-19 before the control, covering shopping malls, supermarkets, farmers' markets, restaurants and other public places with high flow, in order to prevent the further spread of the epidemic, a round of regional nucleic acid testing on November 3 and 5 respectively will be conducted in each district in the downtown area.

For those who did not participate in these two round of sampling before 0:00 on the 4th and 0:00 on the 6th, pop-up windows will appear in their Yukang Codes, and the pop-up windows will disappear once a supplementary sampling is completed as soon as possible. After the completion of these two rounds of nucleic acid testing, the next nucleic acid testing arrangement will be comprehensively determined according to the situation.

Next, departments concerned will unswervingly adhere to the general strategy of "defending externally against importation, defending internally against rebound " and the general policy of "dynamic zero", and respond to the existing epidemic situation in an scientific and accurate way to prevent the spread of the epidemic; do good job in prevention and control in traffic entrances, community, key places, entry closed loop, and personal protection in public, and pay close attention to the prevention and control of normalized epidemic situation to achieve the maximum achievements in prevention and control at the minimum cost.

In addition, Li Pan reminded that persons who return to Chongqing from other cities should comply with the "four immediately" requirements. In daily life, they should cooperate with normal prevention and control measures such as presenting Yukang Code, temperature measurement, wearing masks, not gathering, and holding nucleic acid negative results within 72 hours in public.

In addition, after the first case was found in the Three Gorges Square business district, a temporary control has been conducted in the business district and other places where the infected person had been to. Risk personnel must do a good job in nucleic acid testing and wear masks correctly

In addition, for the prevention and control of risk professionals, Luo Fei, the chief physician of Chongqing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, stressed that it is necessary to do god job in taking nucleic acid testing, wearing masks correctly, self-health monitoring, reducing gathering activities and other regulations on COVID-19 prevention as required.

Luo Fei introduced that the following management measures are taken on risk personnel in Chongqing:

First of all, personnel who contact directly with the entry-exist personnel, goods and environment (such as drivers and passengers of cross-border transportation vehicles, cleaners and maintenance personnel, personnel port handling imported goods, personnel in high-risk positions at the first station and warehouse of imported cold chain food, front-line personnel of customs and border inspection), staff working in the quarantine sites, medical personnel in fever clinics of designated medical institutions and general medical institutions, key postal express personnel shall carry out nucleic acid testing once a day.

Second, for the personnel working in environment with large population of employees, frequently contacting other persons and moving frequently (such as delivery staff of express mail service and take-out service, staff in catering and accommodation service, decoration, loading and unloading service, transportation service, shopping malls, supermarkets and farmers' (fairs) market), port management service personnel, the employees directly contacted in all links of the production and operation of imported cold chain food and the staff of other departments in general medical institutions except fever clinics shall carry out nucleic acid testing once every two days. If one or more local cases occur within the jurisdiction, nucleic acid testing shall be carried out at the corresponding frequency according to the spread risk of the COVID-19 or the requirements of the local epidemic prevention and control work.
