CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to CMSports, the 2022 Chongqing Marathon will kick off at 8:00 on the morning of November 27. With a view to ensuring the health and safety of the general public and the participants, as well as the successful running of the marathon, some adjustments have been made to the events and competition requirements. All participants are kindly reminded to check the new adjustments to see if they need to change their competition plan.

In terms of competition events, the parent-child marathon is cancelled, so there are two events: full marathon and mini marathon. Registration fees will be returned to those who have registered for parent-child marathon within five working days.

In terms of registration qualifications, only permanent residents of Chongqing can participate in the marathon. The permanent residents of Chongqing include: those with residence registered in Chongqing (register by showing their ID cards and household registers), those with no residence registered in Chongqing (register by showing their ID cards and Chongqing residence permits), Hong Kong and Macao residents (register by showing their Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macao Residents and Residence Permits for Hong Kong and Macao Residents), and Taiwan residents (register by showing their Mainland Travel Permits for Taiwan Residents and Residence Permits for Taiwan Residents).

Other Chongqing permanent residents can apply for certificates of permanent residence in Chongqing for over six months from the residential area, property management organization, or workplace by showing their valid documents such as ID cards, passports, Mainland Travel Permits for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, and Mainland Travel Permits for Taiwan Residents.

The organizing committee will invite domestic outstanding professional players to participate in the marathon as special invited athletes, and the specific requirements will be released soon.

In terms of epidemic prevention and control, participation in the marathon is restricted to those coming from areas where regular epidemic prevention and control measures are carried out in Chongqing; all participants must not leave Chongqing 7 days before collecting the materials for competition; all participants must not leave Chongqing before the marathon starts; all participants have to provide a 24-hour valid negative nucleic acid test result and the nucleic acid test record of the past two days (paper version) before they can collect and materials and participate the event; all participants need to register Yukang codes and itinerary codes, ensure they have a green code during the period from collecting materials to the start of the marathon, and scan the specific venue code; on the day of collecting materials and starting the marathon, those without green codes (including those with pop-up windows) are not allowed to collect the materials or participate in the competition.

The deadline to sign up for the marathon is changed to November 11, and the deadline for mini-marathon is November 18. There will be a notice on the lots drawing time.

Those who have not yet registered can sign up for the event on the official website and wait for the result of qualification examination; those who have already registered may need to submit additional information on the official website. Please upload relevant required documents before the registration deadline, and those who do not upload relevant documents in time will be deemed to have given up their participation by default.

In addition, all participants who registered on the “Shuzi Xindong” platform will be refunded, so please re-register on the official website of Chongqing Marathon if you satisfy the participation requirements.

Those who do not meet the participation requirements will receive their refunds from the organizing committee within five working days after the registration deadline.

All successful applicants of the 2020 and 2021 Chongqing Marathon that haven’t participated the event have a chance to participate the marathon (do not need to draw lots) of any year.

Other notes:

1. During the period from successful registration to the start of the competition, if the participant’s living place becomes the low, medium, and high-risk area, or confirmed local cases of COVID-19 are reported, the participant will not be allowed to participate in the marathon.

2. The organizing committee will make adjustments to the event according to the epidemic prevention and control requirement (including but not limited to the event time, scale, registration requirements, participation requirements, etc.), and all participants have to comply the relevant requirement.

3. Participants shall fill in their personal information and submit relevant materials correctly, as the organizing committee will verify the authenticity of all information.
