CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter learned from Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing on December 28 that Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium located in Liangjiang New Area was officially completed after passing the completion acceptance. The stadium covers an area of 303 mu, with a total building area of 166,900 square meters, which can accommodate about 60,000 people. It is the first professional football stadium built in Chongqing.

Taking "Chongqing-style football palace" as the design concept, Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium includes smooth curves of convergence, rotation and rising in its planning, landscape and architectural design, and incorporates the concepts of "fire phoenix", "flywheel" and "windmill". "Fire Phoenix" reflects the combination of traditional culture and the urban temperament of being brave in fighting and striving to go upward; "Flywheel" symbolizes the good vision of Chinese football and Liangjiang New Area taking off; "Windmill" shows the youth, vitality and affinity of football.

Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium reflects Chongqing's hot lifestyle, strong tendency of development and great passion for football, shaping a unique urban landmark that echoes the city's temperament and football culture.

The stadium is equipped with multiple functional areas such as competition area, media and broadcast area, commercial operation area, audience area, more than 2,000 motor vehicle parking lots, supporting rooms, squares, landscape greening, etc., which is well functioned and professionally equipped.

The project was started on April 21, 2020, with various problems caused by gusty gales above level 10, continuous high temperature in summer, and novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) settled. "By coordinating the resources from all parties and cooperating with each other in design, procurement and construction, we completed 7000 square meters of temporary construction within 20 days, and 1.8 million cubic meters of earthwork within 100 days.
