CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Air China Flight CA452 from Dubai landed at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 11:17 on January 8, and 262 passengers went through inbound formalities at Terminal 3 and left the Airport, which is the first inbound flight to Chongqing after China manages COVID-19 with measures against Class B infectious diseases.

At 10:30, many citizens came to the International, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan arrival gate of T3 Terminal, holding bouquets of flowers, waiting for their relatives and friends.

One after another, the passengers came out of the international entrance and hugged the friends and relatives who picked them up, and told each other how much they miss each other. Then they left the Airport together.

It is understood that in accordance with relevant national regulations, from January 8, centralized quarantine and nucleic acid testing will no longer be implemented after entering China by international (regional) flights. Those with normal health condition declaration and no abnormal customs quarantine will be allowed to enter.

It should be reminded that people coming to China should take nucleic acid test 48 hours before their departure, those with negative test results can come to China, have no need to apply for a health code from China’s overseas embassies and consulates, and fill the result into the customs health declaration card; and those with positive test results should come to China after having negative test results.

In accordance with the new requirements, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport shall actively cooperate with customs, border inspection and other joint inspection units to adjust relevant safeguards for international passenger flights, and resume the original arrival procedures for inbound passengers. Jiangbei International Airport has removed the epidemic prevention barrier for the closed-loop transfer of inbound passengers overnight, and restored the original signs on the outbound routes as well as operation services such as information and inbound duty-free shops.

As of January 2023, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport currently has a total of 11 international (regional) routes in operation, namely from Chongqing to Hong Kong, Macau, Madrid, Rome, Singapore, Bangkok, Vientiane, Seoul, Dubai, Ho Chi Minh and Budapest.
