CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter learned from the Municipal Commission of Commerce that from January 7 to 14, the Municipal Commission of Commerce led a delegation to Malaysia and Thailand to carry out the first stop activity of the "Over One Hundred Business Delegations and Over One Thousand Enterprises" international market expansion plan, with a cumulative contract amount of 30.88 million dollars.

"We have signed two orders this time, with a total amount of USD1 million!" Shuai Ling, director of public affairs of Fengmi Technology Co., Ltd., told the reporter excitedly. Previously, Fengmi Technology has deployed in Malaysia, but it is mostly sold by e-commerce, without offline agency. In the second half of last year, Shuai Ling met Chen Wenchang, the general manager of the Malaysian "iWorldplus Enterprise", and the two parties began to discuss cooperation on agency issues. Such talks lasted for more than half a year, but because of no face-to-face communication, the progress of the negotiation between the two parties was slow, and the cooperation had not been finalized. This ASEAN trip served as a catalyst for deepening bilateral relations and contributed to the landing of orders.

It is reported that the delegation for this visit is composed of relevant personnel of the Municipal Commission of Commerce and representatives of 23 enterprises, involving nine Chongqing featured and competitive product industries such as hardware tools, general machinery, automobile and motorcycle, food, light textile, etc.

During the eight days of the visit, the delegation has arranged more than 10 official or business activities, visited China's overseas business offices and relevant business associations, inspected the local market and relevant enterprises, organized high-level enterprise docking activities, and achieved a series of cooperation results.

"During the visit, the relevant enterprises signed a cumulative contract amount of USD30.88 million, involving multiple fields such as general machinery, hardware, auto and motorcycle, access control system, laser television, logistics full-chain services and so on. The largest single order reached USD5 million," said the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Commission of Commerce.

It is understood that in addition to achieving fruitful economic and trade cooperation results and supporting the steady growth of the city's foreign trade, this visit has also formed a series of spillover effects.

Actively "going out", visiting relevant enterprises and institutions, and holding economic and trade matchmaking meetings have demonstrated Chongqing's confidence and determination to expand its opening up, so that ASEAN countries, especially Malaysia and Thailand, can better understand Chongqing, and feel Chongqing's enthusiasm and open and win-win faith as always, laying a foundation for further deepening cooperation.

At the same time, through "going out", "speaking out" and "talking up", enterprises constantly understand the market, become familiar with the rules, and cultivate talents, further improving the ability to expand the market. (Translated by Xu Hong, Fathom Language Limited)
