CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the Giant Stone Carving appears in the riverbank near Yaba Cave Yangtze Riverside Park in Chongqing Nanbin Road, which attracted many citizens to visit.

 It’s learned that this is part of the renovation project for two rivers and four banks of Chongqing, which is responsible by the Nan’an District Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction. The project commenced in April 2022 and was completed before the Spring Festival.

It is learned that the area of beach stone carving is about 500 square meters. The name of the stone carving is "Yangtze River · Mother's Ballad (tentative name)", with a length of 63.87 meters, implying that the Yangtze River is 6387 kilometers in length. In the stone carving, the image of mother represents the Yangtze River, and 11 children represent 11 provinces and cities along the Yangtze River, implying that the mother of the Yangtze River nurtures the Chinese children and accompanies them run to the sea and the world along the Yangtze River.

The project executor and the staff of Chongqing Dazu Stone Carving Association introduce that there are many natural beach rocks around two rivers and four banks of Chongqing, which are very suitable for presenting stone carving works. "During the field investigation of the project, we saw that the Yangtze River was rushing forward, with its vastness and grandeur, and the idea of Yangtze River Mother came into being."
