CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Urgent assembly! On February 8, the first echelon rescue team members of Blue Sky Rescue Team gathered from all parts of the country in Wuhan to leave for Turkey to carry out earthquake rescue.

Cao Weiwei, the person in charge of Blue Sky Rescue Team told reporters, in the morning, national blue sky rescue team members from all cities such as Chongqing, Beijing, and Anhui arrived in Wuhan. In order to save time in maximum, Wuhan sent police force open a way in emergency for rescue team.

At 1:00 p. m., the rescue team arrived at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport to check in and flew from Wuhan to Istanbul in the evening. According to the member in the site, the first echelon carried rescue equipment such as professional demolition tools, thermal imaging instruments, unmanned aerial vehicles, demolition systems, life detectors, snake eye, and satellite phones, and also carried 2 search and rescue dogs to the disaster area.

According to the introduction, after the Blue Sky Rescue arrived in the disaster area, they will immediately carry out the unloading transfer work, and connect with the relevant institutions as soon as possible. Combined with the local rescue progress, they plan to take over the specific search and rescue mission, and select a safe and appropriate location to set up camp at the same time.

Cao Weiwei told reporters, Turkey is in the cold weather currently, which significantly increases the life search and rescue difficulty.
