CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the reporter learned from automobile enterprises such as CHANGAN and SERES that in January this year, a number of new energy vehicles which are made in Chongqing realized the sales of "a good start".

It is understood that in January, the monthly sales volume of CHANGAN SL has reached 6,137 vehicles, ranking second in the domestic new energy vehicle delivery list by only 200 vehicles gap.

AVATR, co-produced by CHANGAN Auto, Huawei and CATL, is also favored by consumers. On February 5, the brand announced that it had delivered more than 2,000 units, only 38 days after it began delivering.

SERES AITO series, which can be regarded as the "popularity" of 2022 market reputation sales, continues the strong momentum to this year. In January, the sales of AITO series were 4,475 vehicles, up 449.1% from last year. So far, more than 80,000 vehicles have been delivered in the AITO series, which is expected to break the sales volume of 100,000 this year.

The popularity of new energy vehicles which are made in Chongqing, lies in mastering core technologies to a large extent.

Take CHANGAN Auto as an example. Recently, the company released two "force" technologies-force intelligent range extension, and force super-collection drive. Among them, with the help of the super-collection drive system, the automobile can realize the self-heating of the battery core under the extreme cold scene of -30°C. In short, even in the extreme low-temperature environment of -30°C, the technology can increase the temperature of lithium battery by 4°C per minute, improve the dynamic performance of the vehicle by 50%, shorten the charging time by 15%, and completely alleviate the difficulty of using electric cars in winter.

On the other hand, several Chongqing auto companies have begun to increase investment in the new energy sector to further expand market share.

In January, CHANGAN Auto announced that it would launch 22 products by 2025, including 7 and 4 new models of SL and AVITA, respectively, with a total planned sales volume of 1.2 million. It is reported that the second model of CHANGAN SL, the S7, will be available in the second quarter of this year.

Tan Benhong, chairman and CEO of AVITA Technology, introduced that in the second quarter of this year, AVITA Technology will also release its second product, AVITA E12, which will fully drive into the development track of “double-car in parallel” and strive to the annual sales target of 100,000 vehicles.

As for SERES, the new energy vehicle upgrading project invested in Liangjiang New Area is under rapid construction. According to the plan, SERES Auto will launch a new AITO M9 this year to further enrich the product category.
