If you decide to go there by self-drive, please set your destination to “Guanyue Temple” (Ejing Lane No.8, Changjiang 1st Road, Yuzhong District, 300 meters up from the next stone stairs).

More scenic spots:

1. Eling Park

It is the first private garden in Chongqing. Yi Garden, often referred to as Li Garden, was its precursor. The wealthy businessman Li Yaoting, who served as the first president of the Chongqing Chamber of Commerce in the late Qing Dynasty, had a villa garden there.

The park retains creative and distinctive architectural landscapes from many eras. While strolling, you may not only enjoy flowers and scenery, but also experience the rich historical and cultural traces.

2. Half Cliff Line Trail

“Half cliff line walk” is a skywalk that is situated at a height of around 300 meters. One can take pictures at the popular “Red Wall” location and Guanyue Temple while looking out over the Jialing River, Yuzhong, and Jiangbei scenery from among the lush mountains.

Early spring brings with it a taste of spring as evidenced by the orderly arrangement of flowering plums and other flowers along the walk. People feel at ease and comfortable while passing them.

● Popular scenic spots: Red Wall, rock wall sculpture, bamboo trail and landscaped plaza

2. Hutouyan Park

Including the entry leisure plaza, mountainside walking track, ridge sightseeing trail, and other projects, Hutouyan Park covers an area of 7.14 hectares.

The ridge sightseeing trail has a viewing platform every 500 meters. Visitors can take in breathtaking views of Hongyan Village, Jialing River, and Jiangbei Hongen Temple from the four viewing platforms.

● Popular scenic spots: The tiger-like rock, the No.29 Middle School viewing platform and a great lawn at Huju Road

4. Pipashan Park

The story of an ancient girl who was talented at singing and playing the Pipa, a plucked string instrument, is one of the origins of the name Pipa Mountain. She frequently played the Pipa and sang on top of the mountain because she missed her sweetheart who had moved far away. Her singing was more melancholy with the pipa sound. Then the mountain was given the name Pipashan over time.

The octagonal “Hongxing Pavilion” is located at the top of Pipashan’s primary picturesque region. Due to the pavilion’s elevated location and red star-decorated top, which provides a view of the two rivers (The Yangtze River and Jialing River) and Yuzhong Peninsula, the structure is known as the “Hongxing (red star) Pavilion.”
