CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Ministry of Culture and Tourism released the list of second National Tourism and Leisure Blocks totaling 57 institutions recently, which includes TESTBED 2 in Yuzhong District and the pedestrian street of Youzhou Ancient Town in Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County.

Located on No. 1, Erling Central Street, Yuzhong District, TESTBED 2 boasts the ruins of factories, warehouses, and anti-Japanese workshops that were closed during the period between the 1990s and 2000. Carrying the distinctive industrial history and culture, those historical remains exist as the unique regional culture.

The pedestrian street of Youzhou Ancient Town

As an integral part of the Taohuayuan scenic spot in Youyang, the pedestrian street of Youzhou Ancient Town covers 1.3 kilometers and features the art elements of Tujia stilted buildings, the ancient town in the style of Tusi Yayuan, the folk cultural symbols of Tujia, Miao, and other ethnic groups. It is a "museum" that displays the architecture, history, folk customs, and culture of the Tujia people. The pedestrian street was listed in the first Chongqing Tourism and Leisure Blocks in November 2021 and was named “China Food Street" by the China Catering Association.
