CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- 31 Macau tourists arrived at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport on Flight NX182 of Air Macau on the evening of March 10. It’s Chongqing’s first tourist group from Macau since the full recovery of the transportation operations between Chongqing and Macau on February 6. The Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Commission and Air Macau held a welcome ceremony for the tourist group at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and those Macau tourists were offered Chongqing souvenirs such as "Ling Ling", the mascot of Wuling Mountain Cultural Tourism Development Alliance.

“We are here in Chongqing! Chongqing is a good place with beautiful mountains and rivers. It’s very famous. We are expecting a wonderful trip in Chongqing.” Zheng Chengdan, a Macau tourist said. The six-day group tour held by the Macau Youth Travel, covers Baiheliang Underwater Museum (in Fuling), Wujiang River Gallery, Wulong Lanba International Art Tourist Resort, Wulong Three Natural Bridges, Fairy Mountain National Forest Park, Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway, the rail trainsit train that passes through a building, and other popular tourist attractions on the itinerary, making it an unforgettable trip for tourists to experience and natural beauty and splendid culture of Chongqing.

According to the head of the Chongqing office of Air Macau, Chongqing has been favored by Macau tourists for its abundant natural tourism resources and unique urban landscapes. Besides, the routes and products of Chongqing tourism are increasingly diversified, making Chongqing one of the top destinations for Macau tourists. Now Air Macau offers four round trips from Macau to Chongqing every week and plans to increase the frequency to one flight per day, to attract more Macau tourists to enjoy the beautiful views, hot springs, delicious hot pots, and the unique travel experience in Chongqing.

Since the full recovery of the transportation operations between Chongqing and Macau on February 6, Chongqing has received a total of 33 tourists (from two group tours) from Hong Kong and 31 tourists (from one group tour) from Macao.

Chongqing will develop and release new inbound tourism incentives and provide more high-quality tours that meet the needs of inbound travel to expand the tourist market.
