CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Yangtze River and the Jialing River running through the city have made Chongqing abound with picturesque river views. Many residents shared videos of the enchanting river views at Chaotianmen from the Hukuishi Huajie Park. Today, we will recommend some places for spectacular river views in downtown Chongqing.
Huguishi Huajie Park
Walking through the Huguishi Huajie Park situated next to the Landmark Riverside Park in Nanbin Road, Nan'an District, you will have a view of the gorgeous sea of flowers and the bustling city rising above the two magnificent rivers.
There are three routes to explore the park, all of which lead to the Hugui Pavilion at the top of the slope. There are stone walkways and smooth roads, accompanied by streams, waterfalls, flowers, rock gardens, and plants of different colors, on the way to the top of the slope. As the darkness fell, you can view Chongqing Raffles City, Chongqing Grand Theatre, Hongyangdong, and many other famous tourist attractions of Chongqing ablaze with lights. It’s a must-go for those who love to take beautiful photos!
Transport: Take CRT Loop Line to Danzishi Station or Tushan Station, take a walk, or take Bus 375, 373, or 338 to Zhonglou Station on Nanbin Road, and then walk to the park.
Sujiaba Trail Viewing Platform
Since its opening, Sujiaba Trail Viewing Platform has instantly become a new landmark in Chongqing for its suspended pedestrian bridge and stunning river views. From the constant streams of traffic at the “dual-ring ”Sujiaba interchange to the Caiyuanba Great Bridge over the Yangtze River and the tall buildings arranged in close order in the Yuzhong Peninsula, you can have it all when standing at the viewing platform. If you want to have a good location for photo taking, you’d better get to the viewing platform by 6:00 p.m. and bring with you your own drinks (no shops on the mountain).
Transport: Take CRT Line 3 to Tongyuanju Station, walk up to the overpass, and then walk up from the walkway next to the tunnel.
Ma’anshan Community Park
The Ma’anshan Community Park is small, with short brick houses built along the stone staircases and mountain roads. The whole sub-district basically retains its original appearance and style, though some graffiti, old-time ornaments, and other elements are added based on the local conditions. The old tables, chairs, fans, and other ancient objects can be seen everywhere there, bringing you back to your childhood. The houses perfectly blend with the warm light and lovely graffiti of some new stores, like bars, bookstores, and tea stores, forming a unique and creative scene of the community park. As night fell, you can walk to a store for river views at night. The Yangtze River flows silently under the lights, hidden away from the bustle and hustle of the city.
Transport: Take an 888-meter walk from Exit 3 of CRT Shangxinjie Station
