CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A press conference on the Chongqing Half Marathon 2022 was held recently, which noted that the Chongqing Half Marathon 2022 will return and start at Chongqing Banan People's Government Square on April 2.

Hailed by the Chinese Athletic Association as A1 Gold Label Road Race, the Chongqing Half Marathon 2022 is certified by the Chinese Athletic Association and organized by Chongqing Banan People's Government under the guidance of the Chongqing Administration of Sports, with two competition forms: a half marathon (21.0975 km) and a health run (about 5 km), getting 15,000 runners involved.

The broad and flat Babin Road adjacent to the Yangtze River, featuring a gorgeous river scene, flowers, and leafy shade, has been selected as the track for the event. The competitors will run along the most beautiful riverside road in a northerly direction from Chongqing Banan People's Government Square while enjoying the enchanting river scene.

After running 5 kilometers, the competitors can have some water, sports drinks, fruit, and Banan specialties in a supply station every 2.5 kilometers. There are 11 medical stations along the course, all of which are equipped with ward-type ambulances and medical personnel. Besides, 30 cycling AED volunteers will ensure the safety of each runner through location tracking.

The preparatory work for the Chongqing Half Marathon 2022 is in its final stage at present. The distribution of equipment for the event will start at Gate 1 of Wanda Plaza in Banan District on March 31. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
