Chongqing Olympic Sports Center was temporarily closed due to its roof renovation on September 27, 2022. Many people kept up with the completion of the renovation project and the reopening of the stadium.

The reporter learns that Chongqing Olympic Sports Center has finished the main structure of its roof renovation project, and the finishing work such as interior cleaning is underway. The stadium will be reopened to the public after the whole project is completed.

Founded in 2004, Chongqing Olympic Sports Center has been used for nearly 20 years, and its original roof panels and bleachers have aged and deformed, which may cause water leakage. To maintain the safety and use function of the stadium and enhance the visual image, the roof renovation project of the stadium contracted by China Metallurgical Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., was officially started last September.

The new roof of the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center is well-ventilated. The transparent and green hollow boards make the stadium well-lighted and acquire a completely new outlook. The water-proof ground has also been finished, which looks pretty smooth and clean.
