CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The first train for Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT) Line 18 has been stationed in the Jin'aosi vehicle area, which brings us closer to the opening of CRT Line 18.

With a maximum running speed of 100 kilometers per hour and the greatest transport capacity of 2,322 passengers, the greenish-blue train for CRT Line 18 is 117.8 meters long, 3 meters wide, and has 6 carriages.

CRT Line 18 adopts As-type vehicles with outstanding climbing ability and adaptability that adapt to the terrain of Chongqing and a permanent magnet motor traction system that can reduce the total energy consumption by 30% compared with the traditional asynchronous motor traction system under the same condition.
