CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Tianjin Airlines announced at the opening ceremony for Chongqing international routes jointly held with Chongqing Airport Group that Tianjin Airlines will resume flights on three intercontinental routes from Chongqing to London, Moscow, and Melbourne in May. The Chongqing-London route is the first intercontinental route resumed by Tianjin Airlines in Chongqing in 2023, and also the first route to the UK from Chongqing.

It is understood that Tianjin Airlines will resume Chongqing-London round-trip flights from May 3, Chongqing-Moscow round-trip flights from May 15, and Chongqing-Melbourne round-trip flights later, all to be operated by Airbus A330.

There will be one daily scheduled flight between Chongqing and London every Wednesday and Saturday. The outbound flight GS7965 will depart Chongqing at 14:40 and arrive at London Heathrow International Airport at 20:00 local time; the return flight GS7966 will leave from London at 22:00 local time and arrive at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 17:00 Beijing time.

Chongqing-Moscow round-trip flights will be available every Monday and Friday. The outbound flight GS7941 will take off at 01:30 in Chongqing and land at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport at 05:30 local time; the return flight GS7942 will leave from Moscow at 12:25 local time, and arrive at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 01:35 local time the next day.

Tianjin Airlines will launch connecting flights to make travel easier and more convenient for passengers. Passengers departing from over 40 domestic cities, like Haikou, Kunming, Shenzhen, Hohhot, and Nanjing, can fly to London through Chongqing; passengers departing from over ten cities, such as Tianjin, Hangzhou, Sanya, Qingdao, and Changsha, can fly to Moscow via Chongqing.
