Born in February in Xiushan, Chongqing, Li Dayin was selected for the national team in 2017 and trained as a professional weightlifter. Li Dayin and Lv Xiaojun have become the championship hope for China in the men’s 81-kilogram weight class in the Olympics.

As the men’s 81-kilogram weight class has been removed from Olympic Games, Li Dayin has to choose the men’s 89-kilogram weight class so that he may have a chance to compete at the Olympics.
