CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As Cultural Heritage Day approaches, the unveiling of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Tourism Block and the opening ceremony for the Chongqing Intangible Cultural Heritage Collection was held on the morning of May 16. Residents can view the intangible cultural heritage in Shibati.

The Shibati traditional scenic area boasts a large number of intangible cultural heritage projects, such as the first Zhu Bingren Bronze Sculpture Museum in southwest China established by Zhu Bingren • Bronze (a national brand of intangible cultural heritage), Kaizhou sugar painting, Hechuan peach slices, Qiaotou hot pot, strange-flavored beans, Rongchang pottery manufacturing techniques, and Carpenter Tan wooden combs manufacturing techniques. The Shibati traditional scenic area was recognized as the “National Preferred Project for Integrated Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Tourism-Intangible Cultural Heritage Tourism Block”, which is the only block in Chongqing that has received this award. On the same day, “Intangible Cultural Heritage Tourism Block” is unveiled.

It is the first time Chongqing Intangible Cultural Heritage Collection has been held, which involves over 200 intangible cultural heritage projects.
