CHONGQING (CQNEWS) – The main structure of Section 1 of Chongqing East Railway Station Building and Supporting Comprehensive Transportation Hub Project, one of the largest high-speed railway hubs under construction in China and the largest newly built “four-network integration” comprehensive transportation hub in Chongqing, was officially capped on May 19. The main structure construction was completed four months ahead of schedule, entering the roof steel structure construction stage successfully.

Chongqing East Railway Station is located in Chayuan New District, Nan’an District, with a total construction area of 1,222,800 square meters, including 120,000 square meters of station buildings and related works, 15 station yards with 29 lines, and the maximum number of people gathered at the station can reach 15,000. It is a super-large railway hub station designed from an international perspective. Since May 2022, when the project was fully mobilized for construction, facing difficulties such as inconvenient road traffic, 12m high large space formworks, and complex structures of curved beams for canopy, participants have independently developed a real-time 3D traffic organization decision-making system, optimized site and road layout, greatly improved the efficiency of on-site resource organization, and efficiently completed construction and production tasks.

After the completion of Chongqing East Railway Station, it is of great significance to improve Chongqing’s “米”-shaped high-speed rail network and promote the construction of Twin-city Economic Circle in Chengdu-Chongqing Region. (Translated by Wang Zhong, Fathom Language Limited)
