CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Workers were adjusting the spacing of sleepers for the newly added marshalling operation lines at the Xinglongchang Railway Station located in the Chongqing International Logistic Hub Park on May 31.

9 marshalling operation lines were added in the downstream marshalling yard for the project of promoting the renovation efforts for capacity expansion of Xinglongchang Railway Station, with approximately 11 kilometers of tracks installed. At present, the track laying work has been completed, taking it to the stage of equipment debugging. It is expected that the whole line will be put into operation by July. By then, the total number of trains handled at Xinglongchang Railway Station is expected to increase by about 10%, with an average of over 20,000 railway freight trains handled daily, to help international and domestic freight trains such as the railway-sea freight trains of new western land-sea corridor and CHINA RAILWAY Express (Yuxinou) to arrive and depart quickly.
