CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, the space lotus flowers in Dazu, Chongqing are in full bloom. Among them, the variety "Jade Goddess of Mercy", which won a special prize in the International Lotus Variety Competition at the Yangzhou World Expo, stands out among many other blooming lotus flowers. It is reported that the flowering season of this variety of lotus lasts from early May to the end of September, and the flowering time of a single flower lasts about 10 days.

It is understood that although the name "Jade Goddess of Mercy" may sound petite, they are a kind of "large" lotus flowers with petals up to 25-30cm in diameter. During the potted period, "Jade Goddess of Mercy" can grow to over 2-meter tall, and when transplanted to large ponds and other water areas, they will grow taller and have good deep water tolerance.

“The petals of ordinary lotus flowers are uniform in red and pink, but the petals of ‘Jade Goddess of Mercy’ are gradually discolored, with a touch of amazing red at the flower tip, pink at the tip, white in the middle and yellow green at the end on the petals.
