Chongqing Children's Park to build a "Metaverse" theme park

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The signing ceremony for the investment and operation project of Chongqing Children's Park was held in Chongqing On June 7. Chongqing Shanshuicheng Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. and Jiangbei Urban Construction Development Co., Ltd. will spend 10 months on upgrading and renovating Chongqing Children's Park, and the park is planned to be opened on a new look in May 2024.

It is reported that the project is located in the core area of Jiangbei District, 2 kilometers away from the Guanyinqiao commercial district. The park covers an area of 145 mu in total, with 200 underground parking lots and is divided into two areas: north and south. Relying on top digital multimedia technology and interactive device technology, combined with video, sound and light, animation, interpretation and other special effect design, the park will be make more story-like and interactive, and sense of engagement will be enhanced, creating a dreamy atmosphere with light and shadow, and building a "Metaverse" theme children's park. The total investment for project renovation and operation is expected to be approximately 120 million yuan.

According to the plan, the north area of the park is a natural ecological space, while the south area is a space for science and technology sports. The project divides the children’s park into "Five Planets" areas based on the preferences of children of different age groups, including nature education, popular science education, and educational creativity as well as areas with highlights such as Children's Digital Art Museum, Metaverse Children's Film Factory, and Children Fashion Sports Hall.
