Before passengers can complete the identity verification and ticket-checking process by simply tapping their second-generation identity cards or railroad e-cards at the railway station, they have to register a “railway e-card” on the app of 12306 China Railway, ensure that the account balance is sufficient and there are no abnormal entry records, and then turn on the “card tapping” mode.

At the same time, Chongqing Railway East Loop will start the reservation service so that passengers can reserve up to two seats for the day in advance on the app of 12306 China Railway. The reserved trips can be canceled free of charge before the train departs and those who have not canceled their reservations are considered to have taken the trip.

The “all-in-one system” supports the following ticket-checking methods:

1. Check in and check out with an ID card

2. Check-in and chek out with a railroad e-card

3. Check in with an ID card and check out with a railroad e-card

4. Check in with a railroad e-card and check out with an ID card

Please note that those who have purchased an e-ticket cannot complete the ticket-checking process by tapping an ID card or e-card; they have to follow the boarding rules for electronic tickets. If the second-generation ID card is lost, please turn off the “card tapping” mode on the app of 12306 China Railway.
