CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A fair for intangible cultural heritage promotion and anti-drug publicity was launched in Chongqing’s Shibati to celebrate the upcoming International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking marked on June 26. Various intangible cultural heritage crafts, such as traditional paper-cutting, gourd branding, dough sculpting, and block printing, were presented in the event.

Combining anti-drug knowledge with traditional intangibles, the police in Chongqing’s Yuzhong launched four booths for intangible cultural heritage promotion and anti-drug publicity.

At the traditional paper-cutting booth, the craftsman used the Chinese characters “拒绝毒品(No drugs)” and “人人禁毒(drug prohibition)” as designs for paper-cuts. The staff in the dough sculpting booth dressed as anti-drugs force invited visitors to experience dough sculpting. The images of speciation tourist attractions in Yuzhong were cut into blocks that were stamped with “No Drugs in Yuzhong” and “Drug Prohibition” and distributed to the public.
