CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- During the Fight against Flood – Sichuan-Chongqing Water Emergency Drill for 2023 conducted on June 15 in the Jialing River in Chongqing’s Hechuan, and a batch of intelligent rescue equipment, like multi-functional drones, flying lifebuoy, remote-control lifesaver, was unveiled.
It is the first time that Sichuan and Chongqing have jointly carried out a large-scale, multi-subject, fully-equipped, and comprehensive water emergency drill similar to actual combat.
The large UAV traction rescues people in the water.
The flying life buoy with four round wings participates in the rescue.
The multi-functional oil spill disposal vessel "Yu Rescue 131" carries out oil spill disposal in the oil-spill area. Independently developed by the Chongqing Municipal Port and Maritime Center, the vessel is equipped with 200-meter quick-release oil booms, an oil receiver, an oil recovery storage cabin, and quick-recovery equipment, and is mainly used for emergency disposal after oil pollution accidents.
A survey vessel equipped with a multi-beam bathymetry system is also unveiled in the drill. Based on the principle of ultrasonic, the equipment is capable of efficiently surveying the panorama of underwater topography with a maximum working depth of 500 meters, producing a real-time topographic map of the river bed, and accurately measuring the position and depth of sunken ships, objects, and navigation obstacles. The vessel provides technical support for deep-water salvage.
Fire rescue vessels put out the open fire on the cargo ship.
The Chongqing Municipal Port and Maritime Center has been actively developing local water emergency systems in Chongqing for recent years. At present, the water emergency rescue center in the downtown area and the bases in Pengshui, Hechuan, Fuling, Wushan, Yunyang, and Wanzhou are put into operation. 10 emergency rescue stations in Wulong, Youyang, Tongnan, Tongliang, Beibei, Jiangjin, Zhongxian, Kaizhou, Fengjie, and Fengdu have been established successively, and 81 gridding-based human life rescue sites have been developed.
It is the first time that Sichuan and Chongqing have jointly carried out a large-scale, multi-subject, fully-equipped, and comprehensive water emergency drill which is similar to actual combat.
The Chongqing Municipal Port and Maritime Center will also actively cooperate with Sichuan port and shipping authorities to further improve the mechanism of "monitoring and early warning, joint response, and information sharing" for water transport emergencies and assist in the high-quality development of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.
