CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As the Dragon Boat Festival is drawing near, the operating hours of Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT) Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 6, Line 10 and Loop Line will be extended and other lines will maintain normal operating hours between June 21 and June 24, according to Chongqing Rail Transit Group.

On June 21, Line 1, Line 3, and Line 10 will move forward their operation period for the evening rush hour from 17:30 to around 14:00 to increase their transport capacity in the afternoon.

The departure intervals for Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 6, Line 10, and International Expo Line will be shortened throughout the day from June 22 to June 24. Specifically, waiting times for Line 2, Line 10, and International Expo Line will be reduced by 60 seconds, 150 seconds, and 210 seconds respectively.

The departure intervals for Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, and Line 6 will be shortened during the night time from June 22 to June 24 to increase the transport capacity and provide tourists with easy transport at night.

The Chaotianmen – Bishan section of Line 1 will be available from 14:00 on June 21 to June 24 to meet the travel demand of passengers from and to the University Town area.

To relieve the pressure of passenger flow in Jiefangbei, some trains of Line 6 will backtrack from Guangdianyuan from 16:30 every day during the period between June 22 and June 24.

The CRT network will prepare enough spare trains and operating trains between June 22 and June 24. Up to 254 trains will be operated during the holiday, an increase of 27 trains compared to weekends. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
