According to the press conference on the seventh Wushan Crisp Plum Opening Festival, over 100,000 tons of Wushan crisp plums, the “famous fruit of China”, are ripening nicely and can be on the market since June 28. On the same day, an orchard opening ceremony and the departure ceremony of the Post Airlines special flights for plum delivery will be held at Chongqing Wushan Airport. Wushan crispy will then be available for next-day delivery to over 1,000 cities nationwide.

In 2023, up to 300,000 mu of Wushan crispy plums were grown in 23 towns and villages in Wushan County, and the fruit-bearing area reached 140,000 mu, with an estimated output of 135,000 tons worth more than 1.8 billion yuan.
