As a national delicious “must-eat” food list, it has also become a bellwether of trendy restaurants in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing. This year, the number of listed restaurants from Chongqing ranks fourth in China, which shows the diversity of food in Chongqing and Chongqing people’s love for eating, said Chen Yuwei, head of Dianping's marketing center. He added, more and more people would be willing to visit a city for good food, and a city with more restaurants on the list would be more appealing.

The data from Dianping.com shows that in the past 12 months, the number of online views of the restaurants listed for the first time in 2022 has increased by 56%, and the number of online orders in those listed restaurants has increased by 21%. After the announcement of the list for 2023, the online order volume of the listed restaurants increased by more than 20% in 14 days compared with the same period of the previous month.
