CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As the high season is approaching, Chongqing Wulong Fairy Mountain, a national 5A scenic spot in China, has received a continuous flow of tourists, and Xiannvshan Airport, the close neighbor of the scenic area, has resumed flights to and from Chengdu, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
To diversify tourists’ options for public transportation, the airport cooperated with Songguo Mobility to open a bicycle land for bike-sharing service this June. This is the first shared-bike path connecting an airport with a tourist attraction opened by Songguo Mobility in China.
Songguo Mobility had set up businesses in the Fairy Mountain resort as early as May 2020, said Shen Hongrui, head of the Songguo bike-sharing project in the Fairy Mountain resort. She added the newly open bike lane will enable more convenient and diverse transportation services for tourists.
The back gate of Fairy Mountain National Forest Park is about five kilometers away from the airport. There are two stops along the bike lane for tourists to take a rest and enjoy the gorgeous scenes of Fairy Mountain, said Shen Hongrui. Since the operation of the Songguo bike-sharing system, they have arranged for staff to carry out daily inspections and repairs. The high season in Fairy Mountain National Forest Park usually begins from July to August. In previous years, tourists’ demand for Songguo shared electric bikes reached over one thousand units. With the operation of the Songguo bike-sharing system, the number may exceed ten thousand this year. Songguo Mobility will supply vehicles based on the actual demand.
