CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to the airline schedule, it’s estimated that Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport operated 55,000 flight trips and handled over eight million passengers during the summer vacation (from July 1 to August 31), which exceeded the level of the same period in 2019.

Air China will launch four flights from Chongqing to Singapore per week as of July 23 and continue to operate international flights from Chongqing to Budapest, Dubai, Seoul, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Chongqing Airlines will recover the direct flights from Chongqing to Phuket to three flights per week as of July 1; Xiamen Air has launched four flights from Chongqing to Kuala Lumpur per week; passengers can travel to Sabah, Semporna, and other destinations through connecting flights operated by Xiamen Air in partnership with other local airlines.

Hainan Airlines and Tianjin Airlines, the subsidiaries of HNA, will continue to operate direct flights from Chongqing to London, Rome, Madrid, Moscow, and other European destinations, offering Chongqing travelers the most convenient air trips to Europe.

As for domestic air routes, Chongqing Airlines has increased the number of direct flights from Chongqing to Kashgar to three flights per week as of July 2; Xiamen Air has launched daily flights from Chongqing to Hailar in Inner Mongolia and Yuncheng in Shanxi since July 1; Sichuan Airlines has recovered the direct flights from Chongqing to Jiuzhaigou to four flights per week, offering the most time-saving means of transport for Chongqing travelers to travel to Jiuzhaigou.

To enhance the flying experience of Chongqing travelers during the summer vacation, Air China, Hainan Airlines, and China Eastern have increased the number of wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 787 and Airbus A330 for flights from Chongqing to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Tianjin, and Xiamen to enrich travel options for passengers.
