CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chaotianmen Bridge Quality Enhancement Project has been completed in the main, according to the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee. After the project is put into operation, the general public can go up to the bridge by ridding an elevator on Nanbin Road or Beibin Road.

It is understood that Chaotianmen Bridge is a bridge used for highway traffic (the upper level) and rail traffic (the lower level). The quality enhancement project covers the quality improvement of the bridge, the transformation of spaces under the bridge, and the building of elevators.

With a shaft height of some 65 meters, the two elevators on the north side of the bridge connect Beibin 2nd Road and the highway level of Chaotianmen Bridge; with a shaft height of some 58 meters, the two elevators on the south side of the bridge connect Fuxing Street and the highway level of Chaotianmen Bridge. After the elevators are put into use, the general public can take the elevator to reach the bridge and walk across the river.

With a total area of about 27,000 square meters, the renovated garden under the Chaotianmen Bridge boasts an ecological garden, a track, badminton courts, and grassy stairs, offering spaces for leisure activities and improving the life quality of residents.
