CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chengdu and Chongqing have made great efforts to accelerate the major projects in 2023 to build the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle over the past year. According to the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee, as of the end of June, Sichuan and Chongqing have invested a total of 882.36 billion yuan in 248 major projects under construction. In the first half of this year, 185.34 billion yuan of investment was completed, accounting for 54.6% of the annual investment plan. Half of the major projects have been completed.

An investment of 63.984 billion yuan was completed in the first half of the year, accounting for 61.6% of the annual total investment. 28 projects of ecological and environmental protection, opening up, and public services have started and completed an investment of 46.17 billion yuan. An investment of 10.45 billion yuan was completed in the first half of the year, accounting for 67.2% of the annual total investment. Five projects, including the Chongqing Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chongqing-Guizhou Comprehensive Service Area of the new western land-sea corridor in western China, completed the annual investment plan ahead of schedule. The ecological restoration project of abandoned mines in the Mingyue Mountain area of Changshou District has completed all surveying and mapping work planned for the year.
