Chongqing among the top three in China’s night-time economy city rankings for 2023

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to the Fourth China (Chongqing) Industrial Development of Economic Empowerment at Night, Chongqing ranks first in China’s night-time economy city rankings for 2023 released by iiMedia Group.
Fourth China (Chongqing) Industrial Development of Economic Empowerment at Night is hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Commission, the Chongqing Administration of Sport, Yuzhong People’s Government, and Chongqing Association for Economic Development at Night.
The 2023 Research Report on the Development of China's Night-time Economy Industry was first released at the forum, which predicted the market size of China's night-time economy industry, analyzed the night economy consumption patterns and changes in the night economy consumer groups and employment groups, and provided a reference for the development of night-time economy in various cities base on the comprehensive comparison of different data.

According to the rankings, the overall development of China's night-time economy in 2023 showed good momentum; Chongqing, Shanghai, and Changsha ranked the top three in a comprehensive evaluation in terms of security, attraction, convenience, consumption power, and reputation.
How will Chongqing sustain high-quality economic development at night?
Zhang Yi, CEO and chief analyst of iiMedia Group, said that Chongqing has been in the front rank of nigh-economy cities in China and it would be more influential if it could do better. Zhang believes that the gorgeous mountains and rivers, and buildings built on hills are unique advantages of Chongqing. Therefore, he suggested Chongqing to further tap the potential of ancient streets and buildings.
