CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The launching ceremony of “To Jointly Establish a New International Land-Sea Corridor and Promote Strategic Cooperation in Development of Cross-border Digital Trade in Chongqing”, one of the agendas of the Regional Cooperation Forum on New International Land-Sea Corridor, was held on July 18 in the presence of the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Ant Group, Proxtera, Singapore ANEXT Bank, and Chongqing Branch of China Construction Bank, which marked the steady advancement of cross-border digital trade development in Chongqing.

The cooperation aims to, with the support of policies, give full play to the advantages of comprehensive service, financial innovation, and digital globalization and comprehensively develop integrated cross-border e-commerce businesses open to ASEAN by effectively integrating the development of digital Chongqing, the New International Land-Sea Corridor, the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Connectivity Project, the international consumption center, and the China-Singapore international data channel. With the sharing and coordination of resources, Chongqing seeks high-quality development of cross-border trade driven by digital technology.

Based on this strategic cooperation, all parties will actively build a Chongqing cross-border digital trade platform and partner with other cross-border e-commerce public service platforms inside and outside Chongqing. The Chinese and Singaporean financial institutions participating in the cooperation will provide cross-border financial services to open up the two-way channel for cross-border financing between Singapore and Chongqing, enhance the ability to provide comprehensive digital financial services such as mobile payment and trade financing for cross-border e-commerce, offer efficient and diversified cross-border e-commerce digital financial services to small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce enterprises, reduce cross-border financial costs for enterprises, and help Chongqing build a western cross-border e-commerce base open to ASEAN.
