On the afternoon of July 16, "Singapore·Chongqing Week" solemnly kicked off at the Chinese Cultural Center in Singapore, in which the two cities worked together to write a new chapter of cooperation in the new era.

"West Chongqing area" jointly appearing abroad for the first time

"Chongqing-Singapore Enterprise Docking and Exchange Conference and the West Chongqing Area Integration Promotion Conference" was held in Singapore on July 18, in which the west Chongqing area made the first appearance abroad.

At the promotion conference, more than 30 institutions and enterprises from Chongqing attended the conference, and communicated with more than 20 well-known Singaporean enterprises such as Infocomm Group and CapitaLand Group that were invited to attend the conference for cooperation.

Shengyu (China) Enterprise Management Co., Ltd., T.Y.LIN International Engineering Consulting (China) Co., Ltd., and T.Y Intelligent Technology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. have signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation.

According to the agreement, the three parties will actively promote the updating of urban infrastructure in conjunction with the construction of the digital economy, enhance the high-quality development and digital transformation of the industry, open a new starting for extensive international cooperation, and expand cooperation areas in all aspects, including jointly building the value chain of digital intelligence industry, exploring new integration of digital intelligent tools and construction projects, and tapping the potential of future urban and industrial park scenarios; deepening international resource cooperation and achieving business sharing, talent flow, and technical cooperation based on RCEP design consulting service trade platform.

Wu Jiahong, deputy secretary of the party committee and general manager of Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group, said that they and their Singaporean partners will practically promote the implementation of projects such as modern medical care for international smart communities, operation of industrial parks, and integration of culture, tourism and transportation by leveraging their respective advantages and upholding the principle of mutual benefit and win-win result, so as to accelerate the construction of new carriers for China-Singapore cooperation.

"Chongqing time-honored brands" are highly sought after in Singapore

In order to promote the exchange and cooperation of time-honored brands between China and Singapore, and the introduction of Chongqing time-honored brands' food into Singapore and Southeast Asia, the “Singapore·Chongqing Week Series Activities – Chongqing Time-honored Brands Food Tour in Singapore" activity was held in Singapore from July 18 to 19. The Municipal Commission of Commerce and the Municipal China-Singapore Project Management Authority organized 17 enterprises to promote more than 60 kinds of Chongqing time-honored brands' products in Singapore.

The activity lasted for two days, in which time-honored brands' food exhibition and cultural exchange activities were conducted in Singapore, attracting professionals from Singaporean’s time-honored gourmet industry and citizens from Singapore to learn about the traditional culture of the time-honored brands' food in Chongqing, watch traditional production techniques, and taste time-honored brands' food.

Chongqing Time-honored Association, Chongqing Qiaotou Hotpot, Chen Changyin Fried Dough Twists Association and enterprises brought more than 60 kinds of products to the exhibition.

The relevant head of the Municipal Commission of Commerce said that food is an important cornerstone of people-to-people exchanges. The Municipal Commission of Commerce will seize the new opportunities in the construction of new western land-sea corridor to promote the mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between various commercial enterprises in Chongqing, including enterprises of time-honored brands' food, and Singapore enterprises in more fields including international trade, modern services, infrastructure construction and operation, food and agricultural products processing, and by combing Singapore's technological and financial advantages with Chongqing's market and industrial advantages, to seek common development and a better shared future.

This tour of Chongqing time-honored brands' food in Singapore is the first time-honored food promotion activity overseas organized by the Municipal Commission of Commerce with the Municipal China-Singapore Project Management Authority in recent years, and a new starting point for the expansion and opening up of the enterprises and products of Chongqing time-honored brands' food.
