CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It’s so fun to participate in the birthday party of pandas on weekends! The baby twin pandas in Chongqing Zoo, Yu Ke, and Yu Ai celebrated their 1st birthday on July 22. The birthday party held by Chongqing Zoo has attracted numerous visitors.

At 7:00 a.m., the reporter saw a banner saying “Happay Birthday to Yu Ke and Yu Ai” hanging in the panda house, decorated with colorful flags on both sides. Although there were still two hours before the start of the birthday party, the panda house was surrounded by visitors. Some people came early to find the best place to see the adorable pandas, and some even came with birthday banners made by themselves.

Led by the keepers, the two baby pandas came out of their room with their birthday cake at 9:00 a.m. The birthday cake is made of ice cubes and bamboo shoots and decorated with fruits and vegetables such as apples, dragon fruits, cherry tomatoes, grapes, watermelon, and carrots. The two childlike baby pandas ate the cake happily. It’s extremely amusing!

In addition to a birthday cake, a “zhuazhou ceremony” is a must!

A variety of gifts were prepared for the “zhuazhou ceremony”, including balls, fruits, photos, and books contained in four boxes: "Athlete", "Gourmet", "Super Star" and "Scientist". All gifts stand for keepers’ best wishes for the adorable baby pandas.
