CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Xiamen Air will resume direct flights between Chongqing and Osaka on August 5, according to the Xiamen Air Promotion Meeting. It is the first time that Chongqing has resumed flights to Japan since 2020 , which will provide air travelers from the two places with a convenient and high-quality travel experience.

The resumed flight between Chongqing and Osaka, served by Boeing 737-800 aircraft, will be available three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The departure flight MF8653 will take off from T3 of Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 8:10 a.m. and arrive at T1 of Kansai International Airport at 12:45; the return flight MF8654 will depart Osaka at 13:45 and arrive in Chongqing at 17:10. The departure flight trips take around 4 hours and 35 minutes, and the return trip takes about 3 hours and 25 minutes.

The resumption of the round-trip flight between Chongqing and Osaka fills the gap of the direct flight routes from Chongqing to Japan in time and injects new life into the recovering tourism market.

Since the beginning of this year, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has seized the opportunity to vigorously promote the recovery of international routes. It has resumed six passenger routes to London, Moscow, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, Nha Trang, and Chinese Taipei, and increased the flights to Madrid, Dubai, Singapore, Seoul, Vientiane, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh, and Chinese Hong Kong.
