CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On July 25, the final round and signing ceremony of the 2023 "Chongqing Meets Australia" Youth Promotion Officer Competition hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Commission, the People's Government of Wulong District, the Tourism Australia, together with the Information Office of Chongqing Municipal Government and the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal Government, etc. was held at the Chongqing International Cultural and Tourism Window, and the series of activities ended successfully.

In 2022, the Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Commission, working with the Tourism Australia, innovated the cultural and tourism promotion model, and for the first time conducted a two-way cultural and tourism promotion by holding the youth promotion officer competition. The 1st "Chongqing Meets Australia" Youth Promotion Officer Competition stirred up heat discussion. In May, the 2023 "Chongqing Meets Australia" Youth Promotion Officer Competition was launched. From the 10000-person audition to the preliminary round, and then to the on-site promotion by the winners in Wulong, Chongqing, the competitors overcame obstacles all the way. In the end, 32 outstanding competitors stood out and entered the final round.

The reporter learned that the competitors mainly come from Sichuan and Chongqing. At the final round, the promotion officers introduced Wulong in Chongqing and Australia in fluent English, and their confident and contagious performance won rounds of applause. One of the competitors Chen Yanzhuo told the reporter that through the competition, he not only learned more about his hometown, but also improved his public speaking ability and confidence by bravely expressing himself on stage. “I hope I will have the opportunity to visit Australia in the future to broaden my horizons, and participate in more cultural exchange activities," said Chen Yanzhuo.
