Chongqing realizes retail sales of consumer goods totaling 739.843 billion yuan in the first half of 2023

Chongqing realized retail sales of consumer goods totaling 739.843 billion yuan from January to June this year, with a year-on-year growth rate of 6.2%. Among which, the year-on-year growth rate of June is 10.2% which is 7.1% higher than the national year-on-year growth rate.
Strengthen policy guidance to effectively release consumption potential
At the beginning of this year, Chongqing formulated and issued a number of documents as well as 181 measures to stabilize economy and the list of policies for “improving confidence, stabilizing growth, and strengthening entities” for the purpose of solving the difficulties and blocked points in the process of business recovery and operation, and accurately helping to promote the recovery and development of enterprises.
Chongqing aimed at key industries such as automobiles and home appliances, adhered to carry out classified and precise policies, and vigorously promoted the implementation of automobile and green smart home appliances subsidy promotion activities, promoting the sales growth of automobiles and home appliances.
According to statistics, from January to June, the cumulative sales volume of passenger vehicles in a broad sense in Chongqing was 209,000, with a cumulative year-on-year growth rate of 3.0%. Of which, 71,500 new energy vehicles were sold with a cumulative year-on-year growth rate of 45.7%; from January to June, the retail sales of household appliances by enterprises above the quota realized a year-on-year growth rate of 2.1% which is 1.1% higher than the national year-on-year growth rate, providing a strong support for the growth of the total retail sales of social consumer goods of Chongqing.
