CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The D6159 train pulled out of Chongqingbei Railway Station with 613 passengers at 8:39 on August 8, beginning a summer trip to Libo, Guizhou. It is the first direct high-speed train running from Chongqing to Libo. The newly-built Guiyang-Libo section of the Guiyang-Nanning high-speed railway was opened for operation yesterday. The journey from Chongqingxi to Libo will take no more than 3 hours and 25 minutes, with second-class seat tickets starting at ￥241 per person.

The newly-opened route from Longlibei Station to Libo Station, part of the Guiyang-Nanning high-speed railway, covers a total length of 175 kilometers and includes three expanded stations: Longlibei, Guiding County, Duyundong, and two newly established stations: Dushandong, Libo. After the new route opens, Chongqing will run two direct high-speed trains to Libo (D6159 AND G5509). The D6158 train will run from Libo to Chongqing.

According to the Chongqing Railway Station, the trains running between Chongqing and Libo will reduce the shortest travel time between the two places to less than four hours. Compared with the previous mode of transportation, the travel time is shortened by about three hours. Besides, the trains will stop at Zunyi, Guiyang, Duyun, and other places along the route, and connect dozens of national tourist attractions including Jiaxiulou, Qingyan Ancient Town, Longjia Mountain National Forest Park, Duyun Qinhan Film and TV City, Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Spot, Zhangjiang Scenic Belt, and Libo Maolan Karst Primitive Forest Reserve. Libo boasts a good ecological environment and a pleasant climate, with an average temperature below 27℃ in summer.
