It is understood that Jiangbei Airport T2 domestic arrival floor has two exits including Gate 3 and Gate 6, and in order to facilitate the passengers on both sides, a taxi pick-up point was set in the middle of the two exits, and passengers had to walk hundreds of meters to the pick-up point after getting out of the Airport.

“Based on on-site law enforcement, we found two problems with the original pick-up point. First, it was crowded, and passengers were easy to be attracted and diverted by illegal vehicles, which has security risks; second, it was not convenient enough, and many passengers were tired after getting off the plane and were not willing to walk a few hundred meters to take taxi, and some passengers even couldn’t find the taxi pick-up point,” said Wang Boyang who is a member of Rail Transit Law Enforcement Brigade I of Chongqing Transportation Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Police Corps.

In order to solve the above problems, at the beginning of August this year, under the coordination of the Municipal Transportation Bureau and several departments, the number of taxi pick-up points of Chongqing Jiangbei Airport T2 was increased from 1 to 2, and they are respectively located outside the domestic arrival Gate 3 and Gate 6, and have now begun to operate all day long. It is reported that since the implementation of the initiative, the walking distance has been greatly shortened, the space for illegal vehicles has been greatly reduced, and the relevant complaints about illegal vehicles have gradually declined.

In addition, the online hailing car pick-up point at Terminal 3 has also been further optimized. Previously, due to the expansion of T3 and the reconstruction of the road at the online hailing car pick-up point, the illegal phenomenon of the online hailing cars around was more prominent, and the demarcation area of the original online hailing car electronic fence had to be updated.
