CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On August 26, the spudding of the pile foundation of the main bridge tower at the construction site of Baoshan Jialing River Bridge, a municipal key project of Chongqing, marked the commencement of the bridge construction project organized by Chongqing Chengtou Group.

The Baoshan Jialing River Bridge is a significant part of the five east-west expressways. Built across the Jialing River, it starts from the Xiqiaotou interchange in Shilong Village, Caijia Area in the west to the Chunxuan interchange in Yuelai Area, with a total length of 3.34km.

“Now we are making every effort to promote the commencement of the entire project. We expect to complete concrete pouring for the first pile foundation at the beginning of September and the P3 pier foundation of the main bridge before December,” said Li Chen, the manager of the Baoshan Jialing River Bridge project.

According to the Chongqing Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee, the project will connect Caijia and Yuelai residential areas and shorten the travel distance between Caijia and Central Park to around ten minutes. It will effectively improve the current traffic environment, promote cultural exchanges between Beibei District and Liangjiang New Area, and enhance the image and competitiveness of Chongqing.
