CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The nameplate of Chongqingdong Railway Station, one of the largest railway hubs under construction in China by China Railway Construction Group and the largest new comprehensive railway transportation hub in Chongqing, was completed and unveiled on August 29.

Chongqingdong Railway Station covers a construction area of 1,222,800 square meters, including station buildings (120,000 square meters), 15 platforms, and 29 routes. The overall design of the railway station displays the regional elements and cultural characteristics of Chongqing, with treelike columns creating tall and straight Ficus virens.

The roof is over 50 meters higher than the departure floor. To avoid working at height and ensure the safety of workers, they assembled the nameplate on the ground floor, lifted it by machine, and finally soldered it to the steel frame.

In addition to the installation of the nameplate, workers are busy with mechanical and electrical engineering.

Chongqingdong Railway Station will be of great significance to the development of the high-speed rail network in the shape of “米”, the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, the new western land-sea corridor, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Belt and Road Initiative.
