CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- From September 3 to 6, China International Press Exchange Center and the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal Government organized a media delegation from Latin America and Eurasia to visit Chongqing. As one of the “@Chongqing @World” foreign affairs iconic brand activities created by the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal Government, this is the largest foreign media delegation to Chongqing in recent years, and it is also the first large-scale foreign media delegation ushered in the Smart China Expo.

During the four days, the journalists from 22 media of 20 countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Kazakhstan deeply participated in 2023 Smart China International Intelligent Industry Expo (referred to as “2023 Smart China Expo”), walked into the representative enterprises of digital technology development and streets and alleyways in Chongqing, and recorded “Chongqing Intelligent Manufacturing” and mountain city stories with cameras and microphones.

Foreign media journalists focused on “black technologies” at Smart China Expo

At around 1:30 P.M. on September 4, after participating in the interview and report of “2023 China-Latin America and Caribbean Countries Digital Technology Cooperation Forum” of the Smart China Expo Sub-forum, the foreign media delegation could not wait to go to the site of Smart China Expo.

A series of “black technologies” including new energy vehicles, iFLYTEK Spark Cognition Model, AIGC digital and others have overwhelmed foreign journalists.

They raised cameras, mobile phones and other equipment to shoot and record. Many foreign media journalists were also interested in test driving the China-made new energy vehicles on display.

The Smart China Expo focused on the field of intelligent networked new energy vehicles. On the morning of September 5, the foreign media delegation successively came to MCC CISDI Group Co., Ltd. and Changan Automobile Co., Ltd.

The foreign media delegation visited the exhibition hall and laboratory of MCC CISDI Research Institute to learn about its digital intelligent solutions based on the industrial Internet platform as well as the technology development and application in green and low-carbon, simulation, intelligent construction, intelligent robots and other aspects.

Some foreign media journalists said that MCC CISDI’s practice of promoting high-quality industrial development by relying on technological innovation is impressive, and has also brought inspiration to the industrial transformation and upgrading of Latin American and Caribbean countries.

In Changan Auto Liangjiang Factory, the journalists carefully understood the development process of Changan Auto, superior resources and automotive products. Many foreign media journalists said that “the intelligent level of cars ‘made in Chongqing’ is amazing.”

Giuliano Dipp Lencioni, a journalist and host of Rede Bandeirantes, showed a great interest in China’s new energy vehicles, and also looked forward to the future cooperation and development between China and Brazil, and said “I hope that in the future, China’s production technology, finished vehicles and parts, etc., can be introduced to Brazil.”

On the first day of coming to Chongqing, the foreign media delegation visited the Inland International Logistics Hub Exhibition Center and Railway Port Vehicle Testing Station, witnessed the departure ceremony of the China Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing) from Chongqing, China to Duisburg, Germany, and learned about the construction of “water, land and air” national logistics hub city.

At the scene, the journalists were very excited and recorded what they saw and heard, and reported the achievements of Chongqing’s active participation in the construction of the “Belt and Road” in an all-round way.
