Liu Jiannan introduced that with the support of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and Civil Aviation Administration of China, the direct passenger flights between Chongqing and Taiwan has officially resumed on May 17, and Air China has increased from 1 flight per day on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday to 1 flight per day from Tuesday to Sunday, totaling 6 flights per week.

It is understood that Sichuan Airlines would also start flying from Jiangbei International Airport to Taipei Songshan Airport from September 29, it is planned to provide 2 flights per week, and increase to 3 flights per week at the end of October when the direct passenger flights between Chongqing and Taiwan will reach 9 flights per week, basically meeting the needs of personnel exchanges between Chongqing and Taiwan.
