CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The picture taken on September 17 shows that in Shixi Town, Nanchuan District, the Longchuan River Bridge (on the second Chongqing-Hunan Highway) under construction looked like a giant dragon lying between canyons.

Located in Shixi Town, Nanchuan District, the Longchuan River Bridge covers a total length of 1,350 meters. The main span of the bridge, in a prestressed concrete structure, has eight hollow thin-walled piers, each 107.78 meters in height. As the bridge crosses over low mountains and valleys, the complex terrain and the narrow construction site are the main difficult problems for the construction of the second Chongqing-Hunan Highway.
