CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- According to the news released by Chongqing Rail Transit Group, Chongqing Rail Transit Group will take a series of measures to facilitate the travel of passengers during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, such as extending the operating hours of Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT) lines and reducing intervals between trains.

To extend operating hours

From September 28 to October 6, the daily operating hours of some sections of Loop Line, Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 6, and Line 10 will increase by one hour to 24:00.

It should be noted that the operating hours of other sections and CRT lines remain unchanged.

To reduce intervals between trains

On August 28, the evening rush-hour operations of Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 6, Line 10, and Loop Line will start from around 15:00, 2 hours and 30 minutes earlier than usual; the evening rush-hour operations of Line 1 and Line 6 will be extended to around 20:00. Chongqing Rail Transit Group will improve the transportation capacity in the afternoon and evening hours to satisfy passenger’s travel demand.

From September 29 to October 6, the core sections of Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 6, Line 10, and Loop Line will reduce departure intervals between trains to enhance the transportation capacity.

To optimize train routes

From 15:00 on September 28 to September 30, and from October 5 to October 6, all trains of Line 1 will run from Chaotianmen to Bishan via Xiaoshizi, Shapingba, and Daxuecheng.

From October 1 to 4, trains of Line 1 will run from Chaotianmen to Bishan or Shuangbei. Please pay attention to the terminal of each train.

From September 29 to October 6, Line 6 will increase the number of trains running from Guangdianyuan to Chayuan after 16:30 every day to meet the travel demand of mass passenger flow in Guanyinqiao CBD and Jiefangbei CBD.

From September 28 to October 6, Line 10 will increase the number of trains running from Jiangbei Airport T2 and Houbao after 20:00 every day, to enhance the transportation capacity in Jiangbei Airport and Chongqingbei Station.

To increase the number of trains

From September 29 to October 6, the maximum number of operating trains of the CRT network will reach 278, 47 more than usual, and spare trains will be on standby. An empty train in a rush hour could be the spare train. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
